Named after fabled Lutetia patron Josephine Baker, legendary floor-to-ceiling art frescos join clever design elements by Jean-Michel Wilmotte and a rhythmically inspired drinks menu.

Stepping inside Bar Joséphine, you may well find your head in the clouds – after all, it’s easy to be swept up by the iconic detailing. A bar like no other in Paris, guests can enjoy a quiet drink, admire the surroundings or hold court with friends, all to a beautifully crafted menu that complements this dreamlike, towering space.


Embark on a journey of exceptional cocktail artistry led by Angelo Forte, our Head Bartender and maestro of mixology, who oversees the two bars of our Parisian palace. Originally from Formia, Italy, Angelo's passion for travel and mixology took root during his studies in Rome, followed by a brief yet formative experience in London before settling in Paris. Now, as a master of his craft, Angelo has reimagined Lutetia's cocktail repertoire. A true storyteller of flavours, he skillfully blends timeless mixology classics with unexpected creations, crafting unique and unforgettable experiences for every guest.

“The idea for this selection of signature cocktails was born under the majestic frescoes that adorn the Bar Joséphine, a historical testimony to the strong link between the Lutetia and the graphic arts. Our menu takes you away for a moment into the fascinating world of the “ninth art”, the comic strip. Each cocktail, like a captivating story, evokes a special moment that I want to make unique and precious for everyone, by combining modern and sophisticated flavours.”
